Responsibilities
- Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Utilize all technical support resources in troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying parts needed for repair
- Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
- Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner
- Advise supervisors of situations impacting customer relationships
- Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents
- Demonstrate Altec Company Values
- Perform all tasks in accordance with Altec Safety practices and procedures
- Support customers by working overtime as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
- Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, construction, mining, farm equipment, military heavy equipment, aircraft and aerospace, or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE)
- Previous experience as a mechanic or technician, with a focus on heavy equipment
- Education in mechanics, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems
- Physical ability to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds, frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to support customers by working overtime
- Ability to advocate for safety in everything we do
Qualifications
- Ability to drive motor vehicles
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
