Equipment Maintenance Technician II - 10-Hour Night

Work Schedule

• 10 hr shift/nights
• Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance

Environmental Conditions

• Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed
• Fluctuating Temps hot/cold
• Laboratory Setting
• Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)
• Rapid flashing lights
• Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
• Standing for full shift
• Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)
• Various outside weather conditions
• Warehouse
• Will work with hazardous/toxic materials
• Working at heights

Location/Division Specific Information

This role is in the Single Use Division and will be performed at our Logan, Utah location.

How Will You Make an Impact?

• Perform a full range of maintenance and calibration activities on industrial and facilities equipment in a safe manner
• Participate in Practical Process Improvement and 5S activities
• Complete preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance, calibrations, troubleshooting, and installations on new and existing industrial equipment
• Complete cleanroom and controlled areas certifications
• Repair instrumentation electronics and equipment, design and fabricate parts and small systems
• Finalize required paperwork, work orders, inventory requests, and requisitions
• Available for on-call or after-hours maintenance activities as needed

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of previous work experience required
• Preferred Experience: Previous work experience in a cGMP environment, industrial maintenance

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Competency in using computers, Microsoft Office products, and inventory management systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Read and understand written materials, including words, pictures, and numbers
• Ability to understand chemical safety, including interpreting labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Use hand and power tools associated with industrial maintenance
• Knowledge of common calibrated fields: temperature, humidity, pressure, flow, time, mass, electronic, and dimension measurement calibrations
• Work in a fast-paced regulated environment

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Maintenance shop
• Lab environment
• Safety hazards including welding, grinding, electrical work, pressurized equipment, chemicals, dirty/toxic work areas, confined spaces, and noise
• Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards
• On-site role
• Fast-paced environment up to 12 hours a day with additional overtime as required
• Based in the cleanroom, which is a temperature controlled environment
• Cleanrooms do not allow hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, acrylic nails, perfume/cologne, piercings, lip balm, lotion, chewing gum, etc.
• Some degree of Personal Protective Equipment is required including steel-toed boots, high visibility gear, safety glasses, cleanroom suit, hair/beard coverings, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.
• Ability to stand and walk for full shift, reach, bend, twist, stoop, push, and grasp while performing tasks
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment, including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
• Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Loud noises (Equipment/Machinery)
