Equipment Maintenance Technician B-Shift

About the role

IH&S is currently looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support its thin-film coating operations, CNC machining, and production machining environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the thin-film coating operation with vacuum equipment and electronics expertise
• Real-time troubleshooting of coating issues based on root cause assessment
• Support off-line improvement projects as related to maintenance, uptime and MTBF
• Support facility systems as needed
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to improve process and equipment reliability
• Support equipment in other departments related to the thin-film coating operations (e.g., Glass Shop)

Qualifications

• A minimum of a 2-year technical degree and 3+ years experience with high-vacuum deposition, or 6+ years relevant experience
• Direct experience with ion sources and electron guns
• Desirable: Direct experience with the repair, diagnostics and root-cause analysis of vacuum coating equipment issues
• Formal electronics and vacuum training desirable
• Experience with facility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, and chilled-water systems desirable
• Experience using measurement systems as applied to thin film coating production, such as spectrophotometers, interferometers, oscilloscopes and other electrical, optical and mechanical test equipment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with MS office
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and interfaces
• Willingness to work flexible work hours including weekends and/or holidays

Benefits

• The compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 - $72,000.00, depending on experience
