Equipment Maintenance Technician Apprentice

About the role

We are seeking Apprentice Maintenance Technicians to join our team. This position combines a college education with on-the-job training under the guidance of a certified mentor.

Responsibilities

• Attend courses at Austin Community College (ACC)
• Work through a structured on-the-job training program
• Work in a Class 1 clean room environment, wearing a full clean room suit
• Stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours at a time
• Work a compressed shift of 12-hours (3 days a week)

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Completion of a Certified Production Technician (CPT) Program or courses in ACC’s Advanced Manufacturing Program is an advantage, but not required
• Completion of ACC’s TSI Assessment if needed for math placement (highly encouraged)
• Ability to work in a Class 1 clean room environment, wearing a full clean room suit
• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours at a time
• Ability to work a compressed shift of 12-hours (3 days a week)

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screening
