Equipment Engineer-CMP

About the role

TSMC, the global leader in semiconductor foundry technology, is seeking a CMP Equipment Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at TSMC WA. Responsibilities

• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities
• Initiate, recommend and provide solutions, verify implementation of those solutions and control further processing or delivery until the deficiency has been corrected
• Control area budget by creating and implementing cost savings ideas
• Perform high-level troubleshooting on robotics, mechanical, pneumatic, chemical and electrical systems
• Perform routine maintenance and provide improvement opportunities for their procedures
• Create training material for maintenance tasks
• Implement/maintain certification programs
• Implement CIP programs to improve tool reliability and availability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 8+ years of experience in CMP (Chemical Mechanical Planarization) Semiconductor technology
• Proven ability to rapidly assimilate complex technical information
• Strong leadership potential and a collaborative team-oriented approach
• Exceptional tenacity, adaptability, and resilience in a demanding, high-volume production setting
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision in all aspects of work
• Superior critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and execute complex action plans effectively
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

• Hands-on experience with CMP equipment

Pay & Schedule

• Starting salary range: $87,000 - $106,764 per year
• Total rewards package includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance
• Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Bonus available based on various factors

Work Location & Schedule

This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm. Additional hours may be necessary to meet project demands.
