Equipment Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coaches and supports other maintenance personnel within the organization.
• Organizes equipment spares and tracks usage to ensure no line-down situations.
• Produces and maintains Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules.
• Oversees modifications and upgrades of process equipment tools.
• Provides technical support in production equipment repairs.
• Maintains and tracks equipment downtime, failure modes, and spares inventory.
• Interfaces with vendors and contractors for tool installations, upgrades, maintenance, and modifications.
• Writes relevant documentation such as maintenance and recovery procedures.
• Carries out Fingerprinting, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Specific Process Control (SPC) charts on equipment.
• Carries out Fingerprinting, FMEA, and SPC charts on equipment.
• Carries out Fingerprinting, FMEA, and SPC charts on equipment.
• Responsible for new tool purchases/installations and equipment upgrade specifications.

Requirements

• 3+ years hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of high-power diode lasers and high-vacuum systems (e.g., MBE, PVD, MOCVD, Ion Beam Deposition, Sputter, Evaporation).
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Proven track record of success in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Physically capable of performing hands-on technical tasks on semiconductor process tools.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and tools.
