Equipment and Maintenance Engineer - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Equipment and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining and optimizing semiconductor equipment and machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operations across the facility. Supports facilities infrastructure and maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with standards.
• Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Evaluate equipment performance, suggest improvements, and implement enhancements to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and training to operations and engineering teams on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure equipment meets safety, regulatory, and quality standards, often collaborating with QA/QC teams.
• Assist in budgeting, sourcing, and managing vendors to maintain equipment.
• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks to support a safe and efficient work environment.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent related work experience.
• Experience: 5 or more years of experience with machinery, equipment maintenance and technical support. Experience working with semiconductor equipment with a strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing operations and cleanroom environment is required. Experience with equipment qualification, installation, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement. Hands-on troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and facilities systems. Experience supporting preventative maintenance and equipment reliability programs. Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams. Ability to work independently and follow safety and quality procedures is required.
