Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety, quality procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose infrequent problems with processes and equipment with minimal direction or documentation.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and improvements; perform moderately complex procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
  • Train all level technicians.
  • Efficient in troubleshooting and repairing 100% of production equipment.
  • Perform equipment upgrades, to include working with Engineering to establish upgrades.
  • Identify new equipment to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Complete work assignments for the week with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate well with other Technicians and Engineers for direction, including shift-to-shift pass down.
  • Share technical observations with other Technicians.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Other related duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years related experience. Experience in lieu of education can be considered.
  • Associates Degree with 2-5 years related experience desired.
  • Reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Knowledge of equipment desired and understanding of preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Good understanding of various machine set-up and equipment operations.
  • Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to comply with requirements for respirator usage.
  • Ability to lift material and equipment weighing up to 45lbs throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in confined places.
