About the role

Oakridge Equine Hospital is home to a collaborative team of five board-certified surgeons and a board-certified internal medicine specialist, with a busy and varied caseload that spans sports medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with outpatient diagnostics
• Lameness and sports medicine exams
• Surgery
• The care of hospitalized patients
• Dedicated anesthesia training

Requirements

We prioritize teaching and mentorship, and each intern is paired with different clinicians on a rotating basis to ensure broad exposure and a well-rounded experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed veterinarian
• Experience in equine practice preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
