About this Role

The Manager II oversees the EQR Oversight Branch, and is directly responsible for managing DHCS's Managed Care, Behavioral Health, and Dental External Quality Review (EQRO) activities. This role provides policy leadership, supervises analytical and supervisory staff, ensures compliance with federal and state quality-related requirements, manages major EQR projects and related strategy, and guides EQR related quality assessment and improvement efforts. The associated section and units support these functions by coordinating performance measurement, interpreting plan and county data, and delivering timely, high-quality oversight products that advance statewide quality and equity goals.

Working Conditions

This position is currently eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee's designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate. The DHCS office location for this position is: 1501 Capital Ave, Sacramento, CA.
