Epoxy Technology Center Associate - Allyl/Telone

About the role

The Epoxy Technology Center Associate plays a critical role in supporting Olin’s business objectives by leading the effort to establish and maintain best practices in alignment with the Global Technology Plan for Allylchloride and Telone technologies. This position applies in-depth technology knowledge to assist the Epoxy business in maximizing efficiency and value creation from the Epoxy plant globally, serving as Olin's global expert for this technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, development, implementation, and training of Most Effective Technology, minimum technology expectations, operating discipline, and best practice documentation for the technology area.
• Lead technology risk assessments and global plant technical reviews; consult business leadership on strategic technology questions.
• Provide plant support and unique technology knowledge for project design, startup activities, root cause investigations, advanced troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Analyze reliability data and assist plants in improving asset capability to maximize uptime and minimize costs for Epoxy facilities.
• Leverage important technology and process improvements across other technologies within and across businesses.
• Evaluate and review project scopes; develop technology packages for upgrade or new construction projects.
• Identify breakthrough improvement opportunities and propose advanced solutions through collaboration with Process Research, Tech Center, Maintenance and Reliability, sister plants, and fellow employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical engineering discipline preferred). Degree must be from a school accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or an equivalent international program.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant manufacturing or improvement experience, ideally in multiple technologies.
• Multi-year manufacturing or technology experience in Allylchloride or Telone production units or other thermochlorination technologies is preferred.
• Proven ability to work under general direction with complex, non-routine tasks.
• Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills across functions, organizational layers, cultures, and companies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively remotely.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent judgment and calculated risk-taking abilities.
• Up to 20% travel, occasionally international.
• US applicants must possess a valid US driver’s license and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Prior global leadership experience in a related role and prior Olin experience are preferred.
