Job Summary
The Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking to recruit dynamic candidates to expand its clinical and basic science research programs within its sub-specialties. The position is full-time faculty, with the opportunity for academic promotion, which is determined on criteria of demonstrated excellence in the areas of education, research, clinical care, and community service.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching, research, and service responsibilities.
Responsibilities at the faculty-level for in-patient/out-patient services, consultations, and emergency consultations.
Supervision of medical students, residents, and some fellows, supervision of patient procedures, and teaching of the house-staff as well as students.
Attending neurology services, leading teaching conferences, and training medical students, residents, and fellows.
Data entry into hospital systems, development of critical pathways, committee work, and projects aimed at improving the specialty and department mission.
Attendance at meetings and educational events of the department and specialty programs.
Qualifications
MD degree
Fellowship training in Epilepsy, or neurophysiology
Board Certification or eligibility to be board certified before start date
A State of Colorado medical license and DEA license must be obtained on or before hire date
