  • Facilitating cross-functional teams of professional and support personnel to conduct routine and non-routine epidemiologic evaluations

Qualifications

  • Two to five years of epidemiology work experience in one or more public health areas, including: health analytics, clinical health surveillance, disease surveillance, biosurveillance, population health, behavioral health, mental health, suicide analysis, deployment health, injury analysis, environmental health, occupational health, industrial hygiene, preventive medicine, medical readiness, acute and chronic disease, health risk assessment, emerging public health threats, or disease investigation
  • Advanced experience analyzing healthcare data and large, complex datasets
  • Advanced experience applying epidemiological methods for public health surveillance and/or program evaluation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three to eight years of epidemiology work experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of public health surveillance monitoring systems
  • Experience conducting surveillance and epidemiological analyses of antimicrobial-resistant organisms (AROs) to identify trends, emerging threats, and risk factors across clinical and community settings
  • Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating AMR surveillance systems, including data integration from laboratory, clinical, and public health sources
  • Extensive analytical experience with epidemiological data on issues such as injury prevention, tuberculosis, influenza, wounded/ill/injured populations, healthcare-associated infections, infectious disease, mental and behavioral health conditions, deployment-related conditions, and environmental health
  • Advanced experience with SAS DATA Step Processing, SQL Processing, SAS Macro Language, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, CDISC Standards, and data management with large datasets (ETL)
  • Experience with SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 or SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9
  • Experience publishing and presenting findings at state and national conferences
