About the Role

Provides advanced-level programming and systems analysis support for a broad array of strategic/tactical projects. Participates in all areas of the project life cycle: project definition, estimating, systems design, programming, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and documentation. Focuses on implementing integrated hospital/corporate computer systems.

Functionally provides technical guidance to entry- and intermediate-level programming staff, leads and coordinates team assignments and goals without administrative supervisory responsibility. Operates within broad guidelines to recommend, design, develop, and implement information systems that meet departmental objectives. Draws upon practical experience and demonstrates extensive operational technical knowledge, advanced business relationship development, and partnership-building skills.

Integrates advanced technical skills with business knowledge to deliver effective information systems solutions. Handles all development activities—from initial project review and scope definition to final implementation—with minimal supervision. Responds to software malfunctions, provides support to operations and users, and works to prevent future production application issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of integrated hospital/corporate computer systems.
  • Offer technical guidance to entry- and intermediate-level programming staff.
  • Coordinate team assignments and goals without administrative supervision.
  • Recommend, design, develop, and implement information systems aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Apply practical experience and operational technical knowledge to solve business problems.
  • Develop business relationships and partnerships.
  • Integrate technical skills with business knowledge to deliver effective solutions.
  • Manage all phases of system development with minimal supervision.
  • Respond to software malfunctions, support operations/users, and prevent future application issues.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate Degree with 6+ years of job experience, 3 years of ERP experience, and Epic Certification or
  • Bachelor Degree with 4+ years of job experience, 2 years of ERP experience, and Epic Certification.
  • IT area of study or related field (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology, Radiology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine).

Certification: Project Management Certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to contribute technically as a team member on strategic/tactical projects.
  • Capacity to accept independent responsibility for leading advanced tactical projects.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with technical staff, management, customers, vendors, employees, physicians, patients, and visitors.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
