About the role

The Epic Iris/Cache - Operational Database Administrator - Senior position within the Division of Information Systems at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of enterprise database systems. This role provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of enterprise database systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise in the design, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and administration of enterprise database systems.
• Identifies and resolves database problems within application environments, service requirements.
• Identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks and related performance issues.
• Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring database integrity and security.
• Maintains database environments.
• Works within UMMC Service desk ticketing system and schedules.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in computer science, information systems or database experience.
• Certifications, Licenses Or Registration: Industry standard database certification required. If individual does not have Epic DBA certification, must certify post-hire within six (6) months.
