Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support full lifecycle Epic Beacon implementations, including planning, workflow design, system build, testing, training, go-live, and optimization
- Collaborate with oncology clinicians, operational leaders, and project teams to analyze business requirements and develop effective Epic solutions
- Configure, validate, and maintain Epic Beacon functionality to support oncology treatment protocols, infusion workflows, and medication management processes
- Utilize Epic Beans data structures to support reporting, analytics, data validation, and operational decision-making
- Conduct workflow assessments and recommend process improvements aligned with Epic best practices
- Develop functional specifications, design documentation, testing scripts, and training materials
- Execute system testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing activities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders throughout implementation and optimization engagements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including project managers, clinical informaticists, trainers, and technical architects
Required Qualifications
- Current Epic Beacon Certification
- Current Epic Beans Certification
- Minimum of 4+ years of Epic application experience
- Minimum of 2 full lifecycle Epic implementation experiences with direct Beacon involvement
- Experience supporting oncology service lines, including infusion, chemotherapy, treatment plans, and clinical workflows
- Strong understanding of Epic reporting and data structures
- Experience gathering requirements, facilitating design sessions, and translating business needs into system solutions
- Demonstrated ability to build, test, and deploy Epic application functionality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel based on client and project requirements
