About the Role

The Epic Business Systems Analyst I ensures that the operational interests of their respective functional areas are fully represented in the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology Department. This role supports the Epic applications deployed within Harris Health System.

Responsibilities

  • Represent operational interests of functional areas in IT department operations.
  • Support Epic applications within Harris Health System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience in a Healthcare environment.
  • One (1) year of work experience in Hospital/Health Care Organizations.
  • Available to work on site or remotely (after hours) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Above average verbal communication skills (heavy public contact).
  • Exceptional verbal communication (e.g., public speaking).
  • Strong writing skills for correspondence and reports.
  • Analytical, design, research, and statistical abilities.

Skills

  • Experience in a hospital or clinic setting (preferred).
  • Experience supporting an Electronic Medical Record System (preferred).
  • Healthcare Information Technology experience (preferred).
  • Understanding of functional processes and business rules related to the applications being implemented/supported.

Schedule

  • On-call availability.
  • Eligible for telecommute.
