EPIC Bridge developer

About the role

Design, build, configure, and maintain Epic Bridges interfaces. Develop and support HL7 v2, FHIR, and web service integrations between Epic and third-party applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform interface analysis, data mapping, workflow validation, and end-to-end testing
• Monitor interface queues, diagnose failures, and resolve integration-related incidents within SLA
• Collaborate with Epic application teams, integration teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Support production deployments, upgrades, monthly releases, and system enhancements
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues
• Create and maintain interface specifications, workflow diagrams, and technical documentation
• Participate in on-call support for critical production issues as needed
• Ensure compliance with healthcare interoperability standards and organizational security requirements

Requirements

• Active Epic Bridges Certification
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2 messaging (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, etc.)
• Experience with FHIR APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and healthcare interoperability standards
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows and EHR/EMR integrations
• Experience in interface troubleshooting, message validation, and production support
