Position Summary

The Epic Beaker Application Analyst supports the mission of Jupiter Medical Center by configuring and supporting clinical applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software. This role consults with members to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient patient care and provider workflows, medical and billing information for patient's providers and clinics, Care Aware, and Beaker Anatomic Pathology, with a focus on quality outcomes for our member organizations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a combination of college education and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Epic Certified in respective application upon hire or obtain within 9 months of employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred DI certified.
  • Preferred but not required: Medical Technologist/MTPrior analyst experience working with a Laboratory Information System (LIS)Work history/knowledge of Laboratory operations.Prior experience with the Epic Beaker Lab system a plus.Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills required.
  • Position requires Work history in Healthcare.

Experience / Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods of time, use of computer and other telecommunication devices.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, and be capable of critical thinking, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.

Threshold Requirements

  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
