EPCM Project Director

As an EPCM Project Director, you’ll join our collaborative team providing clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, procurement, construction management, and design-build project delivery for advanced manufacturing facilities that are changing our world.

You’ll lead teams to achieve key stakeholder objectives by developing and delivering project scopes, estimates, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules. Your role includes day-to-day management of teams as well as financial and technical performance on projects, solving complex problems, and ensuring the success of advanced facilities construction projects. You’ll build strong relationships internally and with customers, mentor other project managers and engineers, and foster a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, motivating and guiding them to achieve project goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including financial and technical performance on EPCM projects.
• Develop and deliver project scopes, estimates, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules.
• Solve complex problems to ensure the success of advanced manufacturing facility projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Act as a mentor for other project managers and project engineers.
• Implement program-wide systems and solutions across multiple disciplines, contractors, stakeholders, and third parties.
• Oversee design project cost management, including capital cost estimating, forecasting, earned value, and meeting design budgets.
• Develop proposals, estimate design, procurement, and construction management services, and work with clients to understand and meet their needs.
• Manage multi-office projects, potentially including international projects.
• Travel to project locations for short-term visits to client sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience managing EPCM projects related to industrial facilities, with a minimum of 5 years specific to Data Centers, Advanced Manufacturing, Specialty Chemicals, Metals, or other industrial facilities.
• Strong safety culture, both in design safety and on-site/office environments.
• Experience executing multi-office projects, potentially international.
• General engineering knowledge key to successful implementation of advanced manufacturing projects, including infrastructure, process, utilities, and support facilities.
• Strong experience in design project cost management, including capital cost estimating, forecasting, earned value, and meeting design budgets.
• Experience developing proposals, estimating design, procurement, and construction management services, and working with clients to develop solutions.
• Program management experience including Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, and Commissioning (EPCM) elements.
• Ability to travel to project locations for short-term visits.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Architect license/certification.
• Strong working knowledge of design and construction, building systems/components, contract management, project delivery methods, environmental and LEED applications, team building, and client relationship building.
• At least 5 years of experience with design and construction of manufacturing facilities exceeding $500 million in construction value.
• Strong existing relationships with advanced manufacturing clients.
• Prior field experience during construction.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $158,500.00 to $208,125.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
