EPC Designer
About the Role
We are seeking an EPC Designer / Engineer to join our growing engineering and design team in Tulsa, OK. This position will support the design, engineering, fabrication, and delivery of packaged pump, skid, and industrial equipment projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical designer with strong Autodesk Inventor experience and the ability to develop 3D assemblies, detailed drawings, bills of material, and fabrication documentation. Experience with skid-mounted systems, packaged equipment, pump systems, piping, oil & gas process equipment, or industrial machinery is highly desirable. This is a growth opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how equipment works, solving practical design problems, and seeing their designs move from concept through manufacturing and assembly.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 3D mechanical models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Develop detailed design documentation, including drawings, BOMs, material requirements, and assembly documentation.
- Support the design and engineering of packaged pump stations, skid systems, and industrial equipment.
- Review equipment layouts, piping arrangements, specifications, vendor information, and project requirements.
- Assist with pump, valve, piping, instrumentation, skid, enclosure, and mechanical component layouts.
- Coordinate designs with engineering, project management, procurement, manufacturing, quality, vendors, and field personnel.
- Support projects from initial concept and design through fabrication, assembly, testing, and delivery.
- Review designs for fit, clearances, accessibility, manufacturability, and potential fabrication or assembly issues.
- Answer shop-floor questions and assist production with design-related issues.
- Make drawing revisions and incorporate engineering, customer, vendor, and manufacturing feedback.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, revisions, BOMs, drawings, and technical records.
- Identify design conflicts, material issues, technical questions, and project risks and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
- Research unfamiliar equipment, systems, and design requirements and develop practical solutions with appropriate guidance.
Requirements
- 2+ years of mechanical design, drafting, or engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor is highly preferred and will be a major consideration. Strong SolidWorks experience may be considered as an alternative.
- Ability to create and manage 3D assemblies, detailed drawings, and BOMs.
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, layouts, and manufacturing documentation.
- Understanding of mechanical fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand how mechanical equipment works and how components are assembled.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, vendors, and other internal teams.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently after receiving initial direction.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant mechanical design, CAD, manufacturing, or industrial equipment experience may be considered in place of a degree.

Working Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role primarily operates in an office/design environment but requires interaction with manufacturing and shop-floor personnel to support fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate should be comfortable moving between design work and real-world manufacturing considerations.
Local Tulsa candidates are strongly preferred. Relocation candidates may be considered, with relocation assistance subject to management approval.
