Job Summary
The EP Technologist assists in all procedures performed in the EP area. The EP Technologist requires detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology in a safe patient care setting.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular technology is required.
- One year of Cath Lab experience, performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures highly preferred.
- If not RCIS, RCES, then must be eligible to take the credentialing examination and obtain RCIS or RCES within 6 months of hire.
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, disease processes and principles of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional technology.
- Expert knowledge of radiological equipment and safety, shielding techniques, expert imaging skills and X-ray equipment trouble-shooting skills.
- Analyzing, 3D mapping and recording equipment and other equipment utilized in the Electrophysiology Lab.
- Performing unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
