About the role

The Hudson Valley Community College Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) seeks an ESOL Instructor to teach academic areas including ESOL I & II, & III Reading Preparation and Academic Preparation.

Responsibilities

• Conducts classes in academic areas, including but not limited to ESOL I & II, & III Reading Preparation and Academic Preparation.
• Prepares all necessary reports.
• Mets with Associate Coordinator of Instructional Services or Counselor when necessary.
• Performs related duties as described in Faculty Handbook/Faculty Agreement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in English or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Three years related teaching experience in a field that demonstrates the ability to teach ESOL.
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Bilingual Education, Instructional experience with an ethnically diverse urban population, and ability to work with individuals in an enthusiastic and encouraging way; excellent oral and written communications skills.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. HVCC does not sponsor Visa’s.

Pay

The salary for this position is $53,000.00.
