Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain membership in good standing with the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 368.
- Perform hazardous waste handling, lead and asbestos abatement, and mold remediation activities in accordance with federal, state, and company safety regulations.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety and health protocols.
- Assist with site setup, containment, material handling, and cleanup activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow instructions and job assignments provided by Management and project supervisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion and operational needs.
- Attends job site, company, and other meetings, as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
- Membership in good standing with, or willingness to join, the Laborers’ Union, Local 368.
- Certification in asbestos and lead abatement and mold remediation, or willingness to obtain required certifications (training information to become certified provided).
- Demonstrated reliability, including regular and predictable attendance and punctuality with an ability to meet project deadlines.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including off-island assignments, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute assigned duties efficiently and responsibly.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Knowledge of, or ability to follow, safety and security standards related to job duties.
- Ability to safely use, care for, and maintain assigned tools and equipment.
- Ability to meet productivity goals and quality standards established by management.
- Ability to maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor and conduct oneself with integrity.
