Environmental Technician I (Temporary)
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. About the role
This temporary position is located at 217 West Jones Street, Raleigh - Wake County, with the Department of Environmental Quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting well testing at various residences across the state.
- Participate in sampling trips that involve long day trips to sites for sampling and then delivery of samples to the laboratory.
- Work in pairs for health and safety policy reasons during chemical testing.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Some experience in the environmental field is a plus.
Pay
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
