Environmental Technician I

Join Orlando Health's Environmental Services team as a Per Diem Environmental Technician I on the 3rd shift (starting at 10:00 PM). Help create a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and team members through infection prevention and high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas
• Support patient room turnovers for admissions and discharges
• Remove trash, soiled linens, and bio-medical waste
• Replenish supplies and change curtains as needed
• Operate cleaning equipment and UV disinfection machines
• Follow infection prevention, PPE, and safety protocols
• Utilize department technology, including Bed Management systems
• Report maintenance and safety concerns
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and team members
• Support departmental quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirement
• No experience required — training provided
• Experience in housekeeping, hospitality, environmental services, healthcare support services, or related field is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and infection prevention
