Environmental Tech

Join our award-winning housekeeping team as a part-time Environmental Tech at Country Manor in Sartell, MN. This role is perfect for someone who loves making an impact and enriching the lives of others in a hands-on environment.

Schedule

This part-time position works 44 hours per pay period, including every other weekend and every other holiday.

• Weekdays: ~10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Weekends/Holidays: ~7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping duties such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, and other related duties.
• Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment such as buffers, carts, vacuum cleaners, extractors, etc.
• Keep work areas and utility rooms neat and orderly.
• Report needed improvements and repairs to Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.
• Maintain good rapport with residents, families, and visitors; refer all medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge.
• Organize and complete scheduled duties and special projects as assigned.
• Know and comply with facility and department safety rules.
• Assist with supply inventory for scheduled projects.
• Vacuum facility hallways.
• Collect and dispose of all refuse from designated locations and operate trash compactor as assigned.
• Sweep and mop all Care Center dining rooms daily.
• Scrub the kitchen floors daily.
• Perform carpet shampooing, buffing floors, stripping, and waxing floors as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able and willing to assume responsibility for the sanitation and cleanliness of assigned work areas throughout the facility.
• Ability to understand and follow directions, both oral and written.
• Able to work with residents, supervisors, and peers in a cooperative and helpful manner.
• Physical and mental health sufficient to perform job tasks.
• Neat in appearance and in uniform at all times, including name badge.
• Conform to and follow established routines, philosophy, and objectives of the facility.
• Experience in housekeeping duties and operating housekeeping equipment preferred but not required.
• Experience with floor care equipment (e.g., scrubber, extractor, wax strippers, wax).
• Display patience, consideration, and tact when dealing with staff, tenants, visitors, and residents.
• Able to operate trash compactor.
