About the role
The Environmental Services Technician II position at St. Joseph College Station Hospital is responsible for providing basic and specialty cleaning services to all areas of the hospital, focusing on the operations of heavy mechanical equipment used in the cleaning and maintenance of hard and soft flooring surfaces, including stairwells, hallways, and public spaces. Additionally, the role involves ensuring a safe care environment for patients, staff, and visitors within specialty units.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic and specialty cleaning services to all areas of the hospital, focusing on the operations of heavy mechanical equipment used in the cleaning and maintenance of hard and soft flooring surfaces, including stairwells, hallways, and public spaces.
- Works within specialty units to ensure a safe care environment for patients, staff, and visitors by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection, and quality assurance towards the reduction of harmful pathogens.
Requirements
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning in high traffic facilities such as hospitals, clinics, hotels, casinos, convention centers, schools, and the like.
