Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Keep patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting.
- Use specialized equipment and techniques to sanitize the facility.
- Learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials.
- Learn and safely use disinfecting chemicals and cleaning procedures.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces thoroughly in various areas including patient rooms, emergency rooms, and operating rooms.
- Restock supplies as needed in supply areas, common areas, and patient rooms.
- Dispose of medical waste properly, including biological or biohazard waste.
- Interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and personable manner.
Job Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent (General Studies preferred).
- Previous healthcare experience preferred but not required.
