Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized to protect against infectious diseases.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Use specialized equipment and techniques to sanitize the facility.
• Learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials.
• Learn and safely use disinfecting chemicals and cleaning procedures.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces thoroughly in various areas including patient rooms, emergency rooms, and operating rooms.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, bath tissue, facial tissue, bath linens, and bed linens.
• Dispose of medical waste properly, including biological or biohazard waste.
• Interact courteously with patients, visitors, and staff.

Job Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent preferred, with previous healthcare experience.
