Environmental Staff Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Interact and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects
- Attend project meetings with senior staff and assist with resolutions to technical and administrative problems
- Begin to learn about marketing and business development with a focus on building your client database and maintaining regular client contacts
- Begin to learn how to manage project budgets and the need for change orders
- Prepare invoices and assist with collection efforts
- Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff members
- Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines under supervision
- Develop management capabilities of environmental projects with supervisory input
- Aid in proposal preparation for training and developmental purposes
- Prepare environmental reports, perform analysis, and provide recommendations in collaboration with senior staff
- Complete internal Phase I ESA training
- Perform site reconnaissance, file review, and report preparation under the direction of supervisor
- Develop acceptable basic technical writing skills with regard to basic conventions of spelling, grammar, and professional content
- Collaborate with more senior staff to produce reports
- Work to improve writing skills under the direction of supervisors and principal reviewers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting
- No experience needed if driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required
Skills And Abilities
- Basic knowledge of environmental principles and applications
- Basic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods
- Interest in project management, consulting, and business development
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrains
Pay and Benefits
The expected pay range for this role and location is $50k - $70k/year. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
