Environmental Specialist, II

About the role

The Environmental Specialist, II position is responsible for conducting environmental assessments, developing and implementing remediation plans, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments to identify potential environmental hazards
• Develop and implement remediation plans for contaminated sites
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of remediation efforts
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address environmental issues
• Train and mentor junior staff in environmental best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or related field
• Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with GIS software
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
