About the role
The Environmental Specialist, II position is responsible for conducting environmental assessments, developing and implementing remediation plans, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments to identify potential environmental hazards
- Develop and implement remediation plans for contaminated sites
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of remediation efforts
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address environmental issues
- Train and mentor junior staff in environmental best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or related field
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with GIS software
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
