Responsibilities
- Manage and ensure permit compliance with local and state regulations (Oregon DEQ Air & Water Quality)
- Monitor permits to ensure renewals and updates are conducted in a timely manner
- Necessary collecting, sampling and monitoring of water and/or soil for analysis
- Prepare and submit annual air quality and stormwater reports using applicable regulatory reporting platforms
- Conduct annual environmental training for all team members
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
- Other duties will be assigned as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Earth Science, Environmental Science or related field
- Experience in an environmental, geology or related role (5 years minimum) with at least 3 years of field experience
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- This position will require travel to Southern Oregon
- Ability to read and understand maps and analyze data
- Familiarity with local, state and federal environmental regulations and standards
- Strong writing skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely are a must
- Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft products
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or other mapping software helpful
- Strong planning, organizational, problem solving, and communication skills are essential
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers
