Environmental Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in janitorial services, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, patient rooms and common areas according to established cleanliness standards.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or polish floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when performing custodian tasks.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management promptly.
• Provide reports on custodian tasks as required.
• Coordinate with other departments or external contractors as needed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a custodian, or similar role.
• Experience with janitorial tasks and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy objects.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.
