Job Summary

At the direction of the Director of Maintenance, the Environmental Specialist is responsible for performing cleaning duties and routine maintenance.

Essential Job Tasks

  • Clean and wipe down all surfaces in men's and women's restrooms daily.
  • Empty trash from break rooms, restrooms, offices, and pass-through areas daily.
  • Assist with cleaning that may arise due to accidents throughout the day in addition to inspecting and reporting the cleanliness of all buildings to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory to include drinks, ice machines, paper products, and other cleaning supplies.
  • Ensure that executive offices are properly maintained and dusted on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with the set-up for meeting/conference rooms.
  • Assist the Director of Maintenance with Maintenance Requests/Tickets.
  • Maintain patios, feed fish, and other related responsibilities by request.
  • Promotes, maintains, and enhances workplace culture within the Maintenance department.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Building Knowledge - Knowledge of the building structure/layout and cleanliness/maintenance expectations.
  • Critical Thinking - Uses logic and reasoning to look at different types of information in order to make conclusions and work through problems.
  • Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Written Comprehension - The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Physical Capabilities - Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. This position requires the ability to lift and move objects and includes sometimes wet and humid working conditions.

Education & Experience

Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
