Job Details Kettering Health Greene Memorial | Xenia | Full Time | Varied shift Responsibilities & Requirements The Environmental Services Worker II plays a vital role in supporting patient care and safety by ensuring a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the healthcare facility. This position is responsible for performing cleaning, floor care, and waste management tasks in accordance with infection control and safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent preferredwill consider candidates with relevant experience in lieu of diploma. Required Work Experience Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial work in a healthcare or similar setting preferredtypically 1-3 months or more. Required Licenses, Certifications, And Registrations Annual DOT certification Skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in Englishknowledge of cleaning and disinfection proceduresability to follow verbal and written instructionsbasic computer skills for supply tracking or training modulesability to operate and maintain cleaning equipmentunderstanding of infection control and safety protocolsability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Work Experience: Experience with floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, extractors) and hospital cleaning protocols preferred. Preferred Licenses, Certifications, And Registrations Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) or similar certification preferred.
