About the role

The Environmental Services Worker II plays a vital role in supporting patient care and safety by ensuring a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, floor care, and waste management tasks in accordance with infection control and safety standards.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
• Align all job responsibilities with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.
• Experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial work in a healthcare or similar setting preferred; typically 1–3 months or more.

Qualifications

• Annual DOT certification.
• Preferred: Experience with floor care equipment (e.g., buffers, extractors) and hospital cleaning protocols.
• Preferred: Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) or similar certification.
