About the role

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in a healthcare environment through tasks such as dusting, floor cleaning, trash disposal, and disinfecting surfaces. Operates cleaning equipment including buffers, vacuums, and shampooers. Performs terminal cleaning of patient rooms, adhering to isolation protocols when necessary. Tasks involve moving furniture, cleaning high areas, and handling waste, requiring physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Dusting and cleaning fixtures
• Operating cleaning machinery (buffers, vacuums, shampooers)
• Wet-mopping floors
• Cleaning high areas
• Waste disposal
• Moving furniture
• Disinfecting surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment
• Terminal cleaning of patient rooms
• Adhering to isolation protocols when necessary

Requirements

• Prior environmental services experience is a plus
• Strong work ethic
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
