Environmental Services Worker

Job Summary

As our Environmental Services Technician (EVS) Tech, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces
• Manage waste disposal
• Operate specialized equipment
• Meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards
• Complete assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Inform supervisor immediately of circumstances that may result in an inability to complete assigned work
• Meet annual competency requirements before evaluation date
• Able to complete at least 75% of the tasks and duties that are defined in the Environmental Service Worker Job Tasks
• Demonstrate satisfactory attendance and reliability
• Acquire knowledge relative to the healthcare Environmental Services field by attending in-service sessions or seeking out information from supervisors
• Participate in meetings and contribute towards performance improvement efforts in the department and in the organization
• Attain personal goals for performance improvement agreed upon in previous evaluations

Preferred Job Requirements

• Hospital or other institutional environmental service experience
