Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Environmental Services Technician (EVS) Tech, you will provide critical environmental services and meticulous attention to cleanliness, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Every day, you will expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, manage waste disposal, operate specialized equipment, and meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards.
- Consistently completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Informs supervisor immediately of circumstances that may result in an inability to complete assigned work.
- Mets annual competency requirements before evaluation date.
- Able to complete at least 75% of the tasks and duties that are defined in the Environmental Service Worker Job Tasks.
- More than 75% exceeds standards for job knowledge.
- Demonstrates satisfactory attendance and reliability.
- Has fewer than 4 occurrences of absence or tardiness each year.
- Less than 4 occurrences exceeds standards for attendance.
- Acquires knowledge relative to the healthcare Environmental Services field by attending all in-service sessions offered or by seeking out information from supervisors.
- Participates in meetings and contributes towards performance improvement efforts in the department and in the organization.
- Attains personal goals for performance improvement agreed upon in previous evaluations.
Job Requirements
- Preferred Hospital or other institutional environmental service experience
