Environmental Services Technician – PRN

Responsibilities

• Maintains a hospital environment that is sanitary and orderly.
• Does basic housekeeping duties in the hospital such as, washing and or mopping floors, cleaning furniture and hospital equipment.
• Performs specialized cleaning procedures such as preparing isolation room for new patients, which require knowledge of advanced housekeeping methods and techniques.
• Responds to codes and fire announcements and must be knowledgeable of the location and operation of all fire extinguishers used in the hospital.
• Fills out activity reports and maintenance slips as required.
• Greet all patients and clients in a friendly, timely manner and assists as may be necessary: holding doors, helping with wheelchairs, providing directions, etc.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
• Six (6) months’ housekeeping experience preferred.
