Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper- Full Time)
About the role
Under general direction, the Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for maintaining the Hospital environment in a clean and safe manner consistent with standards established by Administration in conjunction with the Infection Control and Safety Committees. This position is a Float position and required to work in multiple areas on the evening and/or night shift.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.
- Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
- Work independently with little supervision after training.
Requirements
- Ability to read, understand written documents, and write (high school education or equivalent not required but preferred).
- Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
- Prior EVS experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Pay
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.34/hr - $21.68/hr - $23.41/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's applicable experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
