Environmental Services Technician - FT- Straight Nights

About the role

The Environmental Services Technician position at Sanford Health is dedicated to maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient rooms and assigned areas. This role requires following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Emptying waste baskets
• Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors
• Using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
• Cleaning patient rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas
• Wearing proper protective equipment following guidelines
• Keeping storage, equipment, and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
• Assisting in laundry areas as needed
• Using Sanford technology applications as available
• Maintaining physical stamina for standing for most of the shift, lifting up to 40-50 lbs, and pushing/pulling up to variable weights
• Working in various shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience
• Ability to use a computer
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to use a computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful
• Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Previous custodial experience in a healthcare environment is preferred

$15 - $22.50 per hour

Full time, 8 hours per night shift, rotating weekends and holidays, weekly hours: 40.00
