About the Role
The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of custodial and housekeeping duties, maintains desired standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance, leads cleaning activities in assigned areas, and participates in staff development and training within the department. This position is per diem; hours and schedule may vary based on needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the disinfection of routine and terminal cleaning in assigned areas.
- Practices universal precautions and disposes of infectious waste according to approved standards.
- Disposes of trash, washes, and relines trash containers.
- Disinfects and cleans sinks and plumbing fixtures.
- Replaces paper and hand hygiene products.
- Checks supplies daily and replaces as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of EVS experience (preferred)
Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.06–$27.09/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
