Environmental Services Tech Housekeeping

Essential Functions

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Understand procedures and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash.
• Handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.
• Follow all infection‑prevention practices, including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills, including differentiating color‑coded labels and/or chemicals and following written or verbal directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet departmental needs.
• Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience (preferred).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see and read information, labels, monitors, and assess customer needs.
• Frequent interaction with customers requiring clear verbal communication and rapid understanding of alarms, needs, and issues.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision, including frequent computer, phone, and cable set‑up.
• Expected to lift, pull, and push equipment; work on hands and knees; bend to set up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, including items up to heavy weight.

Location

Primary Children’s at Lehi, Lehi, Utah.

Pay

Based on experience. Hourly range: $17.68 – $22.99.

Schedule

32 hours per week, full‑time. Shift: Friday through Monday, 3 pm – 11:30 pm.
