Environmental Services Tech

About the role

This is a Full Time swing shift Environmental Services Tech position at Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. The position involves five 8-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends. The role requires working all days of the week.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate cleaning techniques, supplies, and safety precautions in cleaning assigned area and equipment.
• Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge for all infection control policies and procedures required to maintain the patient care environment.
• Dispose of all medical waste (regular, recyclable, and regulated) appropriately. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for correct waste segregation.
• Use computer to update EPIC as the primary tool for tracking of individual progress of all work completed throughout the day.
• Work closely with other staff to obtain or provide routine information, submit work orders, request supplies, and schedule maintenance work.
• Follow HIPAA and Privacy laws

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• Certification/License: Heart Saver through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in environmental services in a healthcare or hotel setting
• Must have effective oral/written English communication skills
• Ability to independently utilize a computer and enter data multiple times per day

Union Membership

Pay

Hourly: $18.04 - $33.45 an hour based on union scale experience

Schedule

Five 8-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends

Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays.
