Environmental Services Tech

Purpose of Job

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, healthy and welcoming environment in patient and non-patient areas to ensure that Ridgeview customers and families receive the highest quality of services in a caring and compassionate manner.

Job Functions

• Cleans all patient and non patient areas to high standards cleanliness
• Follows all infection control policies and standards to minimize the transmission of microorganisms
• Follows proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protection equipment for the safety of patients, Environmental Services Tech and staff
• Vacuums, shampoos and extracts carpets
• Performs major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned areas
• Distributes clean linen and maintains PAR levels
• Washes and dries specialty linen items in house
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education/Work Experience

No HS diploma required but preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
• Ability to perform strenuous work under time constraints
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience (healthcare, hospitality, commercial, etc.)
