About the role

Environmental Services (EVS) Technician responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout hospital and clinic facilities.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, exam rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas in accordance with infection control and safety standards
• Performing waste removal, floor care, linen handling, and restocking of supplies
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, OSHA regulations, and patient privacy standards
• Providing courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff while supporting overall facility operations and patient care
• Communicating effectively and frequently with nursing staff regarding patient rooms and with employees in support areas concerning cleaning needs

Requirements

• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to perform standardized cleaning procedures and successfully complete assigned duties following orientation and six (6) weeks of on-the-job training
• Experience preferred in the operation of extractors, buffers, and burnishers

Physical Demands

• Requires heavy physical effort, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Prolonged and extensive standing and walking throughout the shift
• Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and other physical activities required to perform job duties
