About the role

The Environmental Services Technician at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Fort Morgan, Colorado, plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The position requires performing cleaning duties with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all areas meet hygiene and safety requirements, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform 6 step daily cleaning procedure in patient rooms to a level acceptable to the patient.
• Perform checkout cleaning procedure in patient rooms according to departmental policies and procedures, including medical equipment.
• Perform intensive cleaning procedures in specialty areas such as Emergency Department, Surgery, and Pharmacy to a level acceptable that eliminates the risk of infection to the patient.
• Remove and transport soiled linens, trash, infectious waste, and recycling according to departmental policy and procedures.
• Prioritize assisting customers above all other duties. When cleaning an occupied room, the Environmental Services Worker will follow organizational customer service script.
• Adhere to departmental and hospital-wide safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must possess basic computer skills.

Preferred

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Previous healthcare, hospitality, or customer service experience.

Schedule

PRN - Hours Vary 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and some Weekends

Physical Requirements

Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
