Environmental Services Partner- Fairbanks

About the role

The Environmental Service Partner will maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary environment in a professional and courteous manner. This role involves performing cleaning tasks, replenishing supplies, transporting/disposing of waste and soiled materials, and adhering to safety and equipment operation/maintenance standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in assigned areas of the hospital
• Replenish supplies and other dispensable items
• Transport/dispose of waste and soiled materials
• Perform cleaning tasks to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and State Board of Health standards
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, and staff while respecting confidentiality and privacy needs
• Lift, bend, push, and pull as needed, standing/walking for approximately eight hours per day
• Operate basic safety and equipment (vacuum sweeper, trash cart, trash compactor, industrial washer & dryer, electric beds, flat bed cart)

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
• Basic safety and equipment operation/maintenance skills
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as needed
• Ability to see well, with correction, at a distance of at least 20 feet and up close

Qualifications

• Willingness to provide service to others in a courteous manner
